Together Abra Silver and Wayne Bittner own and operate Load of Rubbish. The couple and business partners have their hearts truly vested in their community of Bella Coola. The area is near and dear to the two and when the opportunity presented itself, it made perfect sense to jump into a new garbage endeavour.
“Your community is what you make it, so the more you offer to it, the more you get back,” says Abra.
Abra and Wayne are proud to provide an essential service for the Bella Coola Valley knowing that small businesses are what keeps their economy thriving. “This is where we choose to live, so we feel it is important to invest in our community.”
The natural beauty is an obvious draw to the coastal community, although Abra gushes mainly of the amazing citizens. Their families are also local and many friends have become like family members to them.
