Meet Tom & Kathy Moore

Meet Tom & Kathy Moore

Tom and Kathy Moore enjoy living in a small town and find their home in Bella Coola to have both an amazing community spirit and unsurpassed scenery. Kathy acknowledges there is a close connection between people and a sense of camaraderie that exists here. Kathy enjoys reading and exploring the beautiful surroundings. A special spot is Cedar Grove in Walker Island Park.

Tom and Kathy opened Moore's Organic Nursery in 1995 because they loved to grow plants and to garden and they felt they could help people create beauty around them. They owned enough land to start their business and have enjoyed assisting others in starting or expanding their gardens. They have noticed the one constant thing over their years in business is change. "It never stays the same," said Kathy, "it's always changing from year to year." She appreciates the small, local niche markets and frequents TseTse Fly, Dragonfly Studio and Little Nook Café.
