Step back in time at the Tallheo Cannery Guest House and relax in their historic bed and breakfast accommodation. The Tallheo Cannery Guest House is a beautifully restored 1920’s building located in a once Breathtaking cannery town. The building was once the cannery’s Ladies Bunkhouse and has twelve cozy rooms that allow for double or single occupancy. Authentic renovations have kept the old-time feel of the structure and the furniture throughout the bed and breakfast is functional and beautiful. There are wrought iron bed frames, quilts, wooden furniture, a claw foot tub, a library and even a vintage Wurlitzer Jukebox. The Tallheo Cannery Guest House is on the ocean front and the view from the front porch is breathtaking.

Tallheo was built in 1916 and became a seasonal home to many people who were employed in the salmon cannery. Staff at the Tallheo Cannery Guest House also offer historical walking tours that highlight the important past of the location.

The Tallheo Cannery Guest House is a member of the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association and Bella Coola Valley Tourism Association.

Meet Garrett & Skye Newkirk

Garrett and Skye are happy to be part of the tourism accommodation industry with their Tallheo Cannery Guest House. They are proud of the Tallheo Cannery Guest House and all of the hard work that has gone into improving and maintaining their business. Their business offers a unique, genuine and proudly historic accommodation in an old time cannery town.

They love doing business in a small town because they feel that what they provide and offer helps the whole community out. Being an entrepreneur is interesting and operating the Tallheo Cannery Guest House allows Garrett and Skye to meet and get to know all sorts of great people from all over the world.

Garrett and Skye love the beautiful scenery, the neighbourly atmosphere and the vast untouched wilderness in Bella Coola. "We enjoy the sense of community and that your neighbour is someone that is always willing to help you out," said Garrett.

Bella Coola has plenty of room for growth if you're hard working and Garrett and Skye have noticed a good variety of new small businesses developing within the Valley. Tourism, they believe, is on the "up and up." Garrett and Skye are also the proud owners and operators of Inner Coast Inlet Tours.
